Leroy O. Madison, 50, passed away on December 17, 2013 at Mercy St. Anne'™s Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Despite a sudden illness over the last month, Leroy maintained his optimism and thought only of keeping his family focused on the positive. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 25, 1963 to Leroy and Shirley (Fitzpatrick) Madison. Leroy was a Special Education teacher in the Jefferson School System in Monroe. He was a member of A.A., Treasurer of the StepOne Club, and past School Librarian at Elmhurst Elementary School. Leroy is survived by his wife, Susan; parents, Leroy and Shirley Madison; children, Leroy, Nicholas and Brooke Madison; brother, Alan (Stephanie) Madison; sister, Peggy (Eddie) Morrin; best friend, Adam Kopp; many nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Scooby and Nova. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will take place in Willow Cemetery.
