Lillian M. Self, 85, of Oregon, OH passed away on Friday, October 10, 2003 in her home. She was born on May 20, 1918 in Detroit, MI to Charles and Marie (Gunthenburg) Atherton. Lillian was employed with St. Charles Mercy Hospital as a cook for 22 years. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and enjoyed reading. She also was working on composing her life story for the past five years.
Surviving are her daughters, Norma (Murray) Kitchen of Oregon, OH and Eileen Tippin of Toledo, OH; grandson, Ron Ireland; granddaughter, Sandy Tippin; great grandchild, Alisa Tippin and sister, Margaret. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce; granddaughters Connie Lynn and Kristine and grandson, Mark Tippin.
Friends may call at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday from 4 to 9 pm where funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Lillian's name are asked to consider St. Louis Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
