Lillian P. Singlar, 84, passed away September 23, 2014 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 29, 1930 to Oswald and Paula Vestula. Lillian was a life-long resident of East Toledo. She graduated from Waite High School in the class of 1948. Later she married the love of her life, Joseph Singlar on June 9, 1951, who preceded her in death. Lillian was a member of the former Holy Rosary Parish and then Epiphany of the Lord St. Stephen'™s Church. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the Hungarian Club. Lillian enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. But, most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane (Lester) Herr and Patricia Lonchyna; grandchildren, Benjamin (Renata) Herr, Laura (Dominic) Hamden, Jacob (Andrea Yoder) Herr, Khristina (Jack Gilkerson) Budzios, Leslie (Donald) Fish; great grandchildren, Dylan, Ethan, Alexander, Reese, Raegan, Olivia and Ava; nieces, Rosemarie (Robert) Belville, Veronica (Edward) Placko and Debbie (Willis) Ryan. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; son, Timothy; brother, August Vestula; sister, Betty (Edward) Durdel; son-in-law, Ronald Lonchyna.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio on Friday, September 26, 2014 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in N. Oregon Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caring staff at Aspen Grove and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
