IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Linda J.
Bolin
January 13, 1951 – March 1, 2025
Linda Bolin, 74, most recently of Perrysburg, passed away March 1st, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio after complications from a recent surgery.
Born in Toledo on January 13, 1951, Linda met the love of her life, Paul, when she was only 16 years old. They went on to marry on May 23, 1970, when she was 19. Even though they were told they could never have children, after 17 ½ years of marriage they were blessed with the birth of a son, Paul III, in 1987. Linda and Paul Jr. ultimately were married for 43 ½ years (to the day) before Paul passed away in 2013. Living the vast majority of her life in Graytown, Linda was well known for her large and gorgeous gardens. She proved to be a master gardener without the certification. She absolutely cherished her family. Even though it was hard work, Linda along with Paul loved to host the annual family reunion at their home in the country.
Linda was immensely proud that she worked for more than 40 years in an era where most women of her generation stayed home. Linda originally wanted to be a nurse, but she entered the women's typing pool instead. Working in accounts payable and receivable throughout her life, she developed lifelong friendships through her 25 years at Therma Tru and another 15 years at Stylecrest. Before Paul's passing, Linda was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, OH. She served on the altar guild and sang in the senior choir. She quite enjoyed "making a joyful noise unto the Lord". Her friend Dorothy gave her that line about singing, and Linda, my mom, embodied that phrase.
It's not often we meet real angels on this Earth. However, I believe God gave me a angel in human form when he made Linda my mom. She was a kind, gentle, compassionate woman who loved deeply and fought with diligence and an unshakable Christian faith against the many adversity's life threw her way. I truly thought I would have at least another decade with my mom, but God in his own timing had other plans that I still don't understand. I will miss her more than words can ever describe.
I love you so much, Mom. It was the honor of my life to spend the last weeks of your life by your side. To whom much is given, much is required.
- Paul
Linda is survived by her son Paul III (Mitch Day.) Surviving siblings include Jim Henley (Janie), Gail Medina, Mel Henley, Jean (George) Ford, and Jon Henley. Additionally, surviving are Jackie (Dan) Dalko, sister-in- law Donna (John) Helle, many nieces, nephews, and her constant companion of 10 years, her mini Daschund, Greta.
Linda was preceded in death by husband Paul Jr, parents William and Patricia Henley, siblings William and Teresa, and in-laws Paul Sr. and Doris Bolin.
Linda's family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Nurse Kim at Mercy of Perrysburg. To the staff of Woofgang – thank you for providing us a haven when we needed it the most. Finally, to the entire staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio – no words can suffice to express our thanks. The collective compassion, love, and encouragement you all showed our family for 32 days will live in our hearts forever. We love you all.
