Linda K. Kusian 70, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Mercy Health St. Charles Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.. Linda was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 9, 1946 to Clarence and Mildred (Moritz) Henningsen. On May 9, 1970, she married the love of her life Gary Kusian. Linda worked as a telecommunications supervisor with Ohio Bell, Toledo Edison and Promedica Health Systems for over 40 years. She was a lifelong member of First St. John Lutheran Church where she volunteered in many capacities and was an active member of the Altar Guild and WELCA. Linda served on the boards of Bay Area Credit Union and East Lucas County Thrivent Chapter. Her hobbies included: sewing, reading, and cooking for family and friends. Linda enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in livestock shows and sporting events. Her true passion was spending time with her family enjoying "The Cottage" in Northern Michigan.
Linda is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary; children, Bryan Kusian (Lynn) and Melissa (Jonathon) Lang; grandchildren, Hannah and Noah Lang; brother, Gary (Joanne) Henningsen; mother-in-law, Betty Kusian; brother-in-law, Bill (Rose) Kusian; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Earl and Evelyn Kusian.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 16, at 11:00 am in First St. John Lutheran Church, 2471 Seaman Street, Toledo, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am.
