IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lisa Edwina
Brown
February 2, 1964 – January 7, 2026
Lisa Edwina Brown, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on February 2, 1964, in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Lisa was a true free spirit-one of a kind and unapologetically herself. She lived life by her own standards, with strength, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family. Known for her dark sense of humor, she was a natural jokester whose laughter and wit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Behind her free spirit was a woman who carried more weight than most ever saw. She held pain quietly, endured more than she ever admitted, and kept going even when the load was heavy. She loved hard, worried deeply, and felt the world in a way that only the strongest hearts do. She gave pieces of herself to others without asking for much in return, often putting her own needs last. She taught us that strength doesn't always roar-sometimes it survives.
Lisa was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her two children, Trisha (Ransom) Bartlett and Eric Curtis; and her five grandchildren, Ransom II, Trinity, Andy, Anthony, and Alex, who were her everything.
She is also survived by her sisters, Elsie Della May Crego, Sue (Terry) Bender, Phoebe (Rob) Reynolds, and sister in law Bev Brown; her life-long best friends, Dawn Navarre Kraus and Mary Lou Zimmerman, whom she considered sisters; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Elsie Brown; her sisters Gloria (Jeanie) Foster, Wanda (Kay) Neace, and Linda Clark; and her only brother John (Bill) Brown.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with services immediately following at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home in Oregon, Ohio. A celebration of life will be planned following the services; details will be announced at a later time.
Lisa's legacy lives on through the love she gave, the family she cherished, and the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
