Lloyd G. McCracken, 97, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Hancock County to Lenise and Bessie (Snyder) McCracken on September 27, 1912. Lloyd had been employed at Gulf Oil Company as a foreman for 37 ½ years, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Euclid United Methodist Church, Unity United Methodist Church and the Gulf Oil Spindletop Retirement Group. Lloyd's favorite pastime was hobby farming his 4 acre parcel on Berlin Ave. Surviving are his grandchildren, Thomas (Carol) of Seattle, WA, Joseph (Lynn) of Lake Orion, MI and Kay Corlett of Worthington, Ohio; brother, Wayne McCracken; brother-in-law, Wayne McGee; many nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; daughter, Angeline Lohman; parents; brothers, Donald, Robert , and Keith McCraken; grandsons, Jerry and Larry Corlett. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday from 4-8 p.m., October 9, 2009 and where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
