Lona L. (Pulley) Conklin, 94, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, June 6, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born on December 21, 1913 in Waynesboro, Tennessee to Jack and Annie (Long) Pulley. Lona was a seamstress retiring from National Canvas Co in 1978. Lona was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
Surviving are her sons, John (Vickie) Minton of Dothan, AL and Roy (Cathy) Minton of Coarsegrove, CA; daughters, Jackie (Ronald) Frankevic and Laverne (Dennis) Brewer; step-daughter, Isabella Knoves of FL; sister, Earline Ray of Lawrenceburg, TN; 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, John Minton Sr. and second husband, Jesse Conklin; daughters, Leona Minton and Betty Minton Fretterman; brothers, Frank and Andrew Pulley; sister, Marynell Griggs, and grandchildren, John Minton III, George Minton and Edward Adams.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Monday, June 9, 2008 from 4 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Starr Ave, Oregon, OH on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Lonas name are asked to consider Echo Meadows Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
