Loretta Bowlin, 72, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2004. Loretta was born in LaFolette, Tennessee on April 11, 1932, to Jerry and Nannie (Butler) Prewitt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bowlin. Mrs. Bowlin was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Batavia, Ohio. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Gail Lawson of Oregon, Marilyn Twonette (Dean) Oberlin of Oregon, Mary Marlene (Jerry) Fair of Sylvania; grandchildren, Melissa (Joe) Thomas of Findlay, Jennifer Oberlin of Oregon, Brian and Chris Fair of Wilmington, NC; great-grandchildren, Justin, Tyler and Marie Thomas of Findlay. Also surviving are her brothers, Charles (Frances), James (Laura Jane) and Quentin Prewitt all of Jellico, KY; sisters, Joyce (Howard) Bowlin of Oregon and Delores Vest of Louisville, KY. Loretta also had many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 16, 2004, at 1 pm in the Cox and Son Funeral Home, 309 5th Street, Jellico, TN, where visitation will be Friday from 5 to 9 pm. Interment will be in Bowlin Cemetery, Jellico, TN. The family suggest memorial contributions be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Batavia, OH or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
