Loretta A. Ryan, 83, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2015 at Ebied Hospice. Loretta was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 28, 1931 to Carl and Mary (Geroci) Richards. After graduating from Waite High School, she married the love of her life, Howard Ryan. Together, they raised their two children, Rick and Terrie, in Point Place. Loretta worked for Ameritech for 25 years before retiring in 1992. After retiring, Loretta and her husband, Howard, built the house of their dreams together in Oregon, Ohio. They were lucky to find many wonderful and supportive neighbors in their community. Later, Loretta moved to Oakleaf Village where she could always be found playing cards or bingo and socializing with her many friends. Most important to Loretta were her two grandchildren, Dominic and Julianna, who meant the world to her.
Loretta had a vibrant and youthful spirit that allowed her to make many lifelong friends wherever she went. A woman of faith, she never missed mass on Sundays and could always be found saying the rosary and be counted on to keep anyone she knew in her prayers. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Loretta is survived by her son, Rick (Anne) Ryan; grandchildren, Dominic and Julianna Restivo; sister, Sara Cummings; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her patents; husband, Howard Ryan; daughter, Terrie Restivo; and 7 siblings.
Loretta's family is grateful for the compassionate care she received from the staff at Oakleaf Village, Flower Hospital, and Ebied Hospice.
