Louis J. Halas, 90, of Oregon, passed away on December 1, 2011 at Lutheran Home at Toledo. Louis was born on December 17, 1920 to John and Mary (Shedlock) Halas. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in WWII. Louis was employed with the Gulf Oil Refinery for 31 years before retiring in 1981. Louis was a member of St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church, VFW Post 4906 and enjoyed travel, playing cards and spending time with his family. Louis is survived by his children, Robert (Deborah), David (Carol), Judy Lynn (Paul) Jacso; grandchildren, Robert Halas II, Steven Halas and Jessica Jacso. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, William. Friends may visit at St. Stephen'™s Catholic Church, 2018 Consaul St., on Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at North Oregon Cemetery.
