Louis G. Huth, 64, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 peacefully at home, from heart issues, watching football, with his wife of 32 years and canine companions. Louis was born on June 1, 1950 in Toledo, Ohio to Sterling L. and Tillie (Goodman) Huth. He was a 1969 graduate of Morrison R. Waite High School. After graduation, he served in the Army as a medic in the 15th Medical Evacuation Infantry Unit. He completed intensive training for the Army'™s Leadership Preparation School, eventually became an acting Sgt. E-6 and was a proud Vietnam veteran. Louie worked at Hunt Wesson Foods for 28 years. His passion of music and drums, which began in High School with his band called The Hangsmen, continued through his life as he passed it down to the future generations. He was also a compassionate animal lover, a lifelong Buckeyes fan and enjoyed helping his wife Jane with all of her endeavors. Go Bucks! And Woof!
He is survived by his wife; Jane E. Huth; children, Andrea K. Young, Peter Louis Huth and Angela K. Briones; siblings, David L. Huth, Charles L. Huth, Kay Heilman, Rowland Huth and Dorothy Wamer; grandchildren, Lucas and Abrianna Young; Matthew, Lynnsie, Daniel, Renee, Michelle and Anthony Briones; and great grandchild, Richard Metroff. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister in law, Donna Huth.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 South Coy Road on Thursday, December 4 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be private in Willow Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project.
