Louis W. Salona, 80, of Toledo, OH passed away on Monday, October 10, 2005 in Orchard Villa. Louis was born in Toledo on March 31, 1925 to Louis and Helen Salona. Mr. Salona was a US Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Stephens Parish, VFW Post 4906, and the American Legion. Louis was employed as an electrician at Daimler Chrysler's Perrysburg Machining Plant for 17 years before his retirement in 1979. He was an avid bowler and loved to work crossword puzzles. Surviving are his loving wife of 56 years, Lenore "Lee"; son Thomas (Brenda Reynolds) Salona; daughter, Debbie (John) Barker; half sister, Margaret (Robert) Krontz; grandchildren, Lisa (Ron) Oliver, Jon Barker and Mandy (Pat) McCusker; great grandchild, Adam Oliver; He was preceded in death by his parents and half sister, Helen Brewer. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday from 2 to 9 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 am and continue on to St Stephen Church for the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10:00 am. VFW services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
