Louis Szilagyi, 71, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away September 10, 2012 at his residence. Louis was born on December 3, 1940 in Hungary to Andrew and Maria Szilagyi. On September 25, 1958, he married Barbara Sprauer. Louie was employed as a painter with Local 7 for 43 years, retiring in 1997. He had a love of classic cars and spent many evenings at local car shows. Louie enjoyed playing and coaching soccer. His true passion was spending time with his family and dogs, Tami and Buddy. Louie is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara; children, Ralph (Wilma) Mominee, Brian (Renee) Mominee, Lou Ann (David) Frisch, and Louis (Lisa) Szilagyi; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth (Andrew) Groszer; and dear Friends, Louis (Barbara) Meszaros. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew; sister, Kathy; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Mominee. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am Friday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
