Obituary

Louise Lewis, 97, of Toledo, Ohio passed away September 24, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of Toledo. She was born to George K. and Mildred (Pitman) Smith on February 21, 1916 at Buffalo Valley, TN. During her life time, Louise was employed at Save-Way supermarket, Safe-Way Packaging and at St. Charles Hospital as an information clerk. She was married to Virgil Hutchinson and Shelton Lewis, both who preceded her in death. After the death of Mr. Lewis, Louise was active in the Junior Guild until her retirement. She was a member of the former Toledo Baptist Church and most recently East Toledo Baptist Church. Louise loved being a mother and wife. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, embroidery and making a happy home for her family. Surviving are her grandson, Clarke Scott Hutchinson of Toledo, OH and granddaughter, Danielle Marie (Jeff) Watson of Cumming, GA; great grandchildren, Clarke Scott Hutchinson II, Shane Robert Hutchinson, Kelsey and Bailey Watson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Virgil and Shelton; sons, William Hutchinson and David Lewis; brothers, Lillard P. and G.C. Smith and sister, Mary Athelene Ledbettor. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home also on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. Interment will take place on Saturday in Prosperity Cemetery, Wilson City, TN. Those planning an expression of sympathy in Louise'™s name are asked to consider E. Toledo Baptist Church or charity of the donor'™s choice.
