Janet Louise Whitney, (Weezie) 85 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Advanced Specialty Hospital. Weezie was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 15, 1937 to Earnest Leeander and Genieva Roberta (Hellman) Whitney. She was a 1956 Clay High School graduate. Weezie had worked for the former Lamson's and Value City Department stores as a manager-buyer for over 50 years. She currently was the on-site kitchen manager and active member of the Oregon Senior Center.

Surviving are her brother, Earl (Gwen) Whitney; sister, Elaine Whitney Meadow; niece, Teresa Whitney Apperson; close friends, Paula Benton, Charles and Deborah Burkett. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dean Leroy Whitney; and her fur baby, Bambi.

Weezie requested there will be no visitation and Memorial Services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Oregon Senior Center, 4350 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Senior Center.
