Lucile A. Fischer, 79, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at the home of her daughter. Lucile was born in Newport, Ohio on November 21, 1927 to Wilbur and Bernice (Harris) Collins. She had been employed by the City of Toledo in the Clerk of Courts office for 12 years, retiring in 1992. Lucile was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society, Liturgy Committee, Choir, Greeter, and Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Marian Study Club and was an Ursuline Associate.
Surviving are her son, David (Handrea) Fischer; daughters, Beth (Tommy) Decker and Julie Fischer; grandchildren, Joe Fischer, Scott Swan, Tony Fischer, Angie Swan, Ray Fischer, Lisa Decker and Jeff Decker; 6great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Wamer and several nieces and nephews. Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond and sister, Jane Meyer.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 2 to 9 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. and proceed to Good Shepherd Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Lucile's memory may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Good Shepherd Church.
