Lucille H. (Kohn) Bockelman went home to the Lord at the age of 94 on August 21, 2008 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo.  She was born to Louise (Hoefflin) Kohn and Leroy Kohn on January 10, 1914. Lucille was a life-long resident of Toledo and member of Memorial United Church of Christ. Anyone who knew Lucille knew of her love of singing. She sang in the church choir for 70 years and sang many more days to the residents and staff at the Lutheran Home. Lucille was also very active in many other church functions. She married Louis M. Bockelman in May of 1935 and they were married for 56 years before he preceded her in death. Lucille was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Roland and Leroy.  She is survived by her two sons,  James (Pauline) and William (Robin) Bockelman; two daughters, Martina (Marc) Picard and Marilee Bryant; grandchildren, Patricia Timbers, Cathy (Bob) Moore, Holley (Steve) Laubenthal, Carol (Chris) Thieman, Kristie (Nick) Huber and William (Robin) Bockelman II; many great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  There will be no visitation and services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial United Church of Christ Choir Fund.   The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Lutheran Home at Toledo for their loving care over the last 6 years. Arrangements are being handled by Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel.
