Lucille Romstadt DeCant, 88, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Lucille was born in Curtice, Ohio on February 5, 1918, to Henry and Mary (Fleitz) Romstadt. She was the widow of Lambert DeCant who preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. DeCant was a member of St. Ignatius Church, the Greater Toledo Bird Club and had been a member of the Clay Elementary School PTA and Clay High School Band Parents. She and her husband also operated the DeCant Bird Aviary for many years. Lucille was an avid pinochle player at the Oregon Senior Center. Surviving are her daughter, Carol (Loren) Kline; son, Robert H. DeCant; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ann; son, Raymond; sister, Angela Gladieux and brother, Leo Romstadt. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Friday from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will held in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Lucille's memory are asked to consider St. Ignatius Church. Lucille's first love was always her family and will be remembered as the greatest mother and grandmother.
