Lucille E. Dreier, 90, formerly of east Toledo, OH, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2008, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, OH on November 6, 1918 to Ronald and Esther (Orth) Emmel. She graduated from Waite High School in 1936 and worked for the Gladieux Corporation at the opening of the Toledo Sports Arena. Her employment continued with Gladieux as a secretary in the catering department and retiring as head cateress after 36 years. Lucille was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, the Women's Democratic Club, Phi Iota Rho Sorority and the St Charles Hospital Guild. She enjoyed dining out, crocheting, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her cats. Surviving are her children, Gail F. Hammer, Sue (Larry) Allen, Wayne (Darla) Dreier, Larry (Hollie) Dreier and Marilyn (Danny) Adkins; brother, Donald (Elaine) Emmel; sister-in-law, Marie (Dreier) Smith; grandchildren, Catherine (Todd) Amburn, Scott (Jenny) Allen, Jill (Jason) Besgrove, Brooke (Andy Nelson) Allen, Brian (Heather) Dreier, Sarah Dreier, Lorah Mapes, L. Scott (Valerie) Dreier, Marcus (Ginger) Adkins, Julianne (Najib) Badreddine, Jennifer Adkins and Jacalyne Adkins, Jan (Ron) Cook, Tim (Dee) Condon; 26 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great- grandson, and many nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, and her parents. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church where the family will greet friends and relatives after 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
