MLucille B. Farris, 93, of Oregon, OH passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2006 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born in Benton Township, OH on September 6, 1912 to Christ and Elizabeth ( Haack) Nissen. Lucille worked at Tiedtke's and Tony Packos in the late 40's and early 50's and also worked at Nissen Coal Co. as a clerk. She was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church, Williston and the church woman's circle. She volunteered at the thrift store in Jerusalem Township and belonged to the homemakers. Lucille enjoyed crafts, yard work and fishing on Lake Erie. In her retirement she spent the winter months in Florida and Texas. Lucille enjoyed her family and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her sons, William (Lorraine) and James (Marilyn) Fouke, Richard (Judy) and Charles Farris; sisters, Viola Liskai and Dorothy Mae Kinsel; brother, Ralph (Eunice) Nissen; sisters-in-law, Virginia and Lucille Nissen; 18 grand children; 36 great-grandchildren ; 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, "Buster" James Fouke and Albert Farris and brothers, Donald, Harold and Marvin Nissen.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel from 2 pm until 9 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am in St. John Lutheran Church, Williston. Interment will follow in Allen Township Cemetery. Contributions in Lucille's name can be sent to St. John Lutheran, Williston or a charity of the donor's choice.
