Mabel J. Hamilton, 93, of Oregon, Ohio passed away on July 14, 2022 at Genoa Care Center. Mabel was born on March 9, 1929, at home in Pemberville, Ohio on the family farm to Fred and Anna (Emmitt) Caris. She graduated from Waite High School and would work for several years at JCPenny as a Sales Associate. She was a past member at Clark Street United Methodist Church. Mabel enjoyed traveling, tending to her flower garden, sewing and keeping a tidy house. She was also proud of being a member of Al-Anon. Mabel is survived by her children, Mark Hamilton, Linda (Kent) Christiansen, Michael (Judy) Hamilton; grandchildren, Lindsey (Jim), Megan (John), Jennifer, Holly (Byron) and Bryan; great-grandchildren, Ian, Adam, Ben, Dylan, Lola and Myles. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; and brother's, Wayne and Lowell. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
