Marcos "Guero" Pecina, 57, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 26, 1964 to Andres and Constance (Ortega) Pecina. He worked many years with the family roofing business and was a mechanic. Marcos enjoyed many activities including camping, fishing, traveling and most of all, spending time with his family. If he was not in Ohio, he would spend time in Texas and Colorado going to the flea markets, riding motorcycles and going jet skiing. He was never one to sit at home and will be remembered by the phrase, "I gotta go." He spent time at car shows, fiestas, dances and never knew a stranger. It was never a dull moment with Guero who always had a joke to tell or something to laugh about. Marcos is survived by his children, Marcos Rodriguez, Michael (Rachel) Sanchez, Desiree Andaverde, Blanca Pecina-Wilk, Arianna Sandford, Gianna Rodriguez, Sammie Pecina, Santos Pecina; siblings, Michael Pecina, Magdalena (Ignacio) Silvas, David Bernal, Angelena Ibarra, Ronald (Sandy) Pecina, Leopoldo (Sonya) Pecina, Paula (Mike) Lozano; numerous grandchildren; nieces, nephews; and dear friend, Cameron Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Marcos and Andres Pecina Jr. Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio, 43616 on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 2:00 pm-8:00 pm. The family will also greet friends at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 728 S. St. Clair, Toledo, Ohio 43609 on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery.
