Margaret G. Evans died Friday, November 25, 2005 peacefully at home at the age of 78. Margaret was born in Wheeling, WV on February 22, 1927 to Emerson and Carrie (Butler) Earlewine. Margaret was adopted in 1935 by Bert E. Keys when her mother Carrie remarried. Margaret spent most of her life being a loving mother and wife. She also worked at the Academy of Medicine. Margaret is also known for her corner store "Pegs Market." She is proceeded in death by her husband, Arthur Evans; infant son, David and special friend "Zaidy" Dr. Morton D. Steinberg. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Mary Helen) Laney; daughter, Susan Laney-Gasser; grandchildren, Sean, Meaghan and Carrie Gasser, Brendan, Deirdre and Rory and great grandchildren, Alex, Zach and Alyssa. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Sunday, November, 27, 2005 from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Sunday at 6 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in Lake Township Cemetery.
