Margaret L. Johnson, 88, of Moline, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 1, 2021. Peggy was born April 21, 1932 in rural Wood County to John and Anna (Gercak) Nehay. On July 24, 1954, she married the love of her life, Robert L. Johnson Jr. Peggy worked for Penta County Vocational School and retired as a librarian with Lake Local Schools. She was a longtime member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Millbury and recently was attending Mainstreet Church. Her greatest love was being a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring grandmother; attending numerous sporting events and extracurricular activities. Peggy is survived by her children, Deb (Pat) Johnson-Denman, Kurt (Lori) Johnson, Scott (Michelle) Johnson, and Rob (Michele) Johnson; grandchildren, Chad (Krystle) Craycraft, Tyler (Rebecca) Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Clay Johnson, Mitchell Johnson, Jay Denman, Courtney Johnson, Curtis Johnson, and Matthew Johnson; son-in-law, Ken Craycraft; one great-grandchild on the way; along with her nieces & nephews, Jennifer (David) Rohr, Geoff Leking, Laura (Larry) Starkey, and John (Kelly) Nehay. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; daughter, Dr. Sally Johnson-Craycraft; and siblings, Louis Leestinsky, John Nehay, Betty Leking, and Jim Nehay. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, April 5, 2021 at 12:00 pm in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed in the form of contributions to Grace Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
