Margaret M. Knitz, 94 of Oregon, Ohio passed away peacefully in her residence on Saturday, January 21, 2023 with her loving husband and her children by her side. Margaret was born on March 4, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana to John and Mary Metro. Margaret's biggest joy was her family and spending time with them. Material things did not mean much to her but, the love shared with her family was worth all the gold in the world.

Surviving are her husband of 74 years, Maynard W. "Bill"; children, William M. (Cheri) Knitz, Patricia (David) Knitz Zemicki; grandchildren, Ronnie Knitz, Michael (Alisha) Knitz, Thomas Katona, Jennifer (James) Bartley; 7 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Huppenthal and Irene Gergerly . Margaret was preceded  in death by her parents; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, Ohio, where her funeral service will take place On Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
