Margaret Kovacs, 90, of Genoa, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 31, 2015 at St. Charles Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to John and Theresa (Nitray) Gottfried on November 27, 1924. She graduated from Waite High School in 1942. Margaret led a very active lifestyle and enjoyed traveling, spending time at casinos with her husband, cooking, baking, bowling and many other activities. She also loved painting China and teaching classes about her skill. In her early years she was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church but most recently of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Genoa. She was a very loving, caring woman and will be deeply missed.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bela Kovacs; son, Thomas L. Szuch; grandchildren, Thomas Szuch, Erika (Brian) Ager, Erin (Jared) Lachey; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Allyssa Szuch, Logan, Zoe, Odin, Bradyn Ager and Kendall and Kingston Lachey. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Louis J. Szuch; son, Lawrence Szuch; sister and brother-in-law, Mary (John) Toth.
Friends may visit at Kinsey-Pavley Funeral Home, 2001 Consaul Street, Toledo, Ohio on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 10:00 am – 12:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Stephens Catholic Church following the visitation at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
