Margaret L. Mauter, 97, of Oregon, Ohio passed away September 5, 2007 at Heartland of Oregon. She was born in Bono, Ohio on December 25, 1909 to Richard Louis and Etta (Thayer) Kester. In her earlier years, Margaret had been employed in the meat department at Save-Way Supermarket. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid Society, Esther Circle, Maccabee's Fraternity and a past member of O.E.S.
Surviving are her daughter, Madonna (Cliff) Bury; step-son, Bill (Ginny) Mauter; grandsons, Tom (Kelly) and Marcus; granddaughters, Cathy Jensen, Melanie (Keith) Reichart and Jackie (James) Vail; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Jensen; niece, Sally (Don) King; nephews, Chuck and Gary (Carolyn) Schimmel and 7 great grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, George Boots Jensen, Clark Crawford and John Mauter; son, Donald Jensen; brother, Rex Kester and sister, Lelah Schimmel.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woodville and Elmore Sts., on Saturday at 11 a.m. with a luncheon immediately following in the church hall. Interment will take place in Willow Cemetery. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Margaret's memory are asked to consider St. Mark Lutheran Church Capital Campaign.
