Margaret M. Pastor, 91, of Oregon Ohio passed away peacefully into the hands of our Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2009. She was born in East McKeesport , Pennsylvania to Andrew and Mary Shabenas. Margaret and Elmer, her husband of 70 years, raised four children and enjoyed babysitting their many grandchildren whom they adored. Margaret was a waitress at the Commodore Perry Hotel , Toledo , for 30 years. She retired in 1986. She was a life-long member of St. Stephen's Church. Margaret was a devoted caregiver to her beloved husband, who was an invalid for over ten years. She loved being a homemaker and excelled at all areas of it, particularly baking, canning and sewing. She also loved tending her many beautiful flowerbeds. She was an avid shopper who loved a good bargain and would freely pass on her "gems" to her family. She is survived by daughters, Joan Ray of Toledo , OH and Janet (James) Alexander of Pemberville, OH: sons, James of Walbridge , OH and Robert of Toledo, OH: nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; sisters, Ann, Sue, and Mary and brother, George. A private mass was held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on Friday, November 20, 2009. The family would like to thank all of the incredible caregivers at The Manor of Perrysburg for the wonderful care their mom received during her stay there.
