Margaret G. Pasztor, 87, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away August 10, 2009, at St. Vincent Medical Heart Vascular Center. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 27, 1921, to Bertalan and Mary (Szepesi) Marusz. In her younger years, Margaret was employed in the office at Western Auto Store. She also worked as the bookkeeper for Pasztor's Pure Oil on Front and Consaul. She was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church where she was a cantor for 38 years and volunteered at bingo for 30 years. She called "Lightening Bingo" up until the week of her passing. Margaret was also a founding member and the first vice president of the Cardinal Stritch Beretta Club. Mararet was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. She never missed watching the game on television. She was a tremendous cook and was well known for her Hungarian baking which she shared with friends and family. She loved spending time with all of her granddaughters and playing with her great-grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, William Jr. (Jane) and Nicholas (Denise); grandchildren, Melissa Pasztor, Melinda Kennedy (Keith), Victoria, Michaela and Katarina Pasztor; great-grandchildren, Logan and Morgan Kennedy. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Sr.; daughter, Mary Margaret Pasztor; sisters, Mary Juhasz, Elizabeth Fulop, Annie Pocse, Gizella Marusz, Rose Varga, Irene Marusz, and one brother, John Marusz. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Thursday from 2:00 - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by the Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial services at 10:00 a.m. in St. Michael Byzantine Church. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.
