Obituary

Margaret Gordon Bennett Quintero, 87 of east Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in her residence, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Margaret was born in Scotland, on February 19, 1937 to Alexander and Euphemia (Bennett) Harvey. After immigrating to the United States with her family, Margaret settled in Northeast Ohio where she graduated from Cambridge Highschool. She developed a love for traveling and road trips after graduation and eventually moved to New York City. There, she met her husband Luis Alberto Quintero and had six children. She moved to Toledo, Ohio in 1974 and remained there for the remainder of her life. Margaret was an avid reader, always enjoyed a good road trip. She shared her passion for family and her Scottish heritage through songs, storytelling, and cooking. More than anything, Margaret loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nobody loved her family with the passion and wholehearted completeness that Margaret did. She was kind, non-judgmental and always willing to dance, sing, and play with the children and adults that were lucky enough to know her. She was a true blessing to her family and friends, and the world is better for the time she was gifted to us.
