Margaret M. Rodriguez, age 89 passed away peacefully to her Lord on October 31, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born in Gibsonburg, OH on May 31, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Marguerite (Weiskopf) Runyan. She enjoyed sewing and making teddy bears for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to knit and crochet. She was a seamstress and tailor for many in the Toledo area. She was a participant of block rosary for many years. She loved playing cards and family games with her children, grandchildren, and neighbors. She was a tireless worker at St. Jeromes school cafeteria. She compiled and distributed a recipe book of easy Mexican meals for her family and friends. She attended Central Catholic High School. Margaret was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church, Walbridge, OH. She married Alfred Rodriguez on December 28, 1939 and was the gentle loving mother of six sons and three daughters. The family remembers well how she was able to stretch meals for her large family. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother (Charles), sisters (Rita Bressler and Helen Johnson), granddaughter, Julie Donaldson, daughters-in-law Nancy (Missler), and Joanne (Rodriguez), and son-in-law Ernest LaBonte. She is survived by her children: Dennis; Richard (Barbara Domalski); John (Jessie Gantt) ; Carl (Glenna Wechsel); Mary Jane LaBonte; Anthony; Margaret Ann Thompson (Robert); Gregory (Elva Ackerson); and Alicia Koepplinger (William). She was the grandmother of twenty-eight, the great grandmother of forty and the great-great grandmother of three. Family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert &Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Sunday November 4th, with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St. Walbridge, OH at 10:00 am on Monday, November 5th. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
