Obituary

Margie A. Molnar, 93, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Margie was born on July 26, 1932, in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to Michael and Alma (Cutcher) LaFountain.

Margie worked as an airline attendant, and then at Erie Ordinance Depot prior to her marriage to her husband Richard "Dick" Molnar.

The couple had three children together, and Margie was a wonderful nurturing mother and home maker. When the children reached high school age she returned to the workforce at JC Penney until she retired.

Margie and Richard shared 50 years of marriage until his passing in November 2008. Margie was a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church and was a member of the group, Threads of Faith, Hope and Love.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michelle (Ron) Triggs: and Rick (Jayne) Molnar; and grandchildren, Carrie, Sean, Brett, Jessica, Matthew, Shane, Tyler, Adam, Amber, and Aaron. Margie also had twelve great-grandchildren: Maxwell, Kendyl, Andrew, Collin, Alaina, Jinny, Bentley, Ayden, Remington, Bennett, Madison, and Gracyn. .

Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Dick; son, Tim; and siblings, Arvilla, Lambert, Robert, Ramon, Verna, Gertrude, Sevelia, and Viola.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.

Margie will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
