Maria Teresa Perez, 83 of Toledo passed away in her daughter's residence on Monday, January 12, 2015. Maria was born in Puerto Rico on January 3, 1932 to Marcelino and Alejanderina (Santiago) Algarin. Maria graduated from high school and then went on to nursing school to become a nurse. She and her husband were active members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. In her spare time Maria enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends. Maria is survived by her husband William Perez Sr.; children, Maria (Jack) Perez-Smenner, William Jr., Eddy, Mayda (Leo) Lynch, grandchildren, Arquimides Tull, Clarivel (Ron) Tull-Gratop, Carl Robinson, Sõna Teresa (Shane) Shroreder, William Michael Perez, Christopher Luis Perez; great grandchildren, Alaynah Makayla, Carmyn Elise, Jackson William, William Michael; siblings Delia, Anibal, Lumin, Minerva, Alicides, Abraham, Julia. Maria was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Pancho and Eduardo. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury on Thursday from 2-8 pm and where her funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Donor's choice.
