Maria J. Rodriguez , 77, of Toledo and formerly of Gibsonburg, passed away Monday, July 5, 2004, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Maria was born on March 24, 1927, in Yslitas, Texas to Ventura and Juanita (Martinez) Obregon. In April of 1951 she married the love of her life, Juan Rodriguez Jr. who along with her parents preceded her in death. Maria was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, Ohio; the Guadalupe Society, Altar Rosary Society. Maria was also a member of the Crusillo Movement and the Happy Homemakers in Gibsonburg. Her enjoyment was spending time with her family, cooking and gardening. Surviving are her loving children, Mary (Fernando) Costilla, Fremont, OH, Joe (Linda) Rodriguez, Moores Hill, IN, Susie (Alejandro) Arriaga, Gibsonburg, OH, Jessie (Rosie) Rodriguez, Adrian, MI, Guadalupe (John) Cardenas, Gibsonburg, OH, Miquel Rodriguez, Gibsonburg, OH, Ruben Rodriguez, Gibsonburg, OH, Rosario (Ignacio) Medina, Toledo, OH; 26 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; sister, Baldomera Zapata; brother, Tomas Obregon. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 until 9 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, OH. where the Rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Gibsonburg, OH and where the family will greet friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Gibsonburg. Visitation: Visitation Times Wednesday, 2-9 p.m. Woodville Road Chapel
