Marie E. Hoffman Marie E. Hoffman, 78, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2003 at the home of her son in Toledo, Ohio. She was born on September 12, 1924 in Toledo, OH to Anton and Mary (Adeline) Koberstein. She owned and operated Marie's Beauty shop for 15 years. Marie was a member of Sacred Heart Church and worked making tents for our Armed Services during WWII. Surviving are her son, Robert J. (Donna) Hoffman; brother, Anthony J. Koberstein; grandchildren, Anna M. (Robert Jr.) Cherry and Robin L. Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Amanda M. Cherry and Robert E. Cherry III. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; brothers, Frank, Paul and John Koberstein; sisters, Helen Laberdee and Rose Koberstein. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH on Monday, September 15, 2003 from 2-9 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
