Marilyn M. Ackerman, 83, of Angola, Indiana and formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Marilyn was born on September 28, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio, to Emerson and Christine (Ayers) Parker. Marilyn had worked 21 years at Owens Illinois and 8 years at Libbey Owens Ford as an executive secretary. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Howard Ackerman. Survivng are her children, April L. (Phillip) Gates of Fremont, IN and Randy L. (Michelle) Ackerman of Centerville, OH; 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Gravesides Services will be held at Restlawn Memorial Park, 3665 Genoa Road, Perrysburg, OH, on Friday at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Marilyn's memory are asked to consider The American Diabetes Association.
