Marilyn (Jones) Koester passed away quietly Wednesday, December 15th. She was born on May 23, 1928 to Cleo and Normel Jones. She was a wonderful mother and very devoted grandmother. Her grandchildren were her world. She won the hearts of everyone she met. No one was ever a stranger to her. She was an avid camper and lifetime member of the V.F.W. of Oregon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norm and Cleo Jones; daughter, Nancy; sons, Butch and Melvin; brother, Donald Jones; her Aunt Helen; grandson, Austin Takacs. She is survived by her former husband and friend, Melvin Koester; sons, Walter, Danny, Keith and Robert; daughters, Debra Zich, Rebecca (Kevin) Lewis, Nancy (Lou) Takacs; 26 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (June) Jones and Robert (DoDe) Jones; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. There will be no visitations or services. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements handled by Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home.
