Marilyn J. St. John, 86, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Genoa Care Center. Marilyn was born August 15, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio to Alfred and Elizabeth (Card) Ziegler and was a graduate of Whitney Vocational High School. Throughout the years, Marilyn was employed with Sun Oil Refinery, Northwood Jewelers, and the Woodville Mall. She was an avid card player and enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo. Marilyn was a longtime member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Genoa, Ohio.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Jillene (Lee) Zunk, Amy (Dave) Ackerman, Laurence (Julie) St. John, Randy (Dawn) St. John; grandchildren, Joe (Cari) St. John, Jan (Andy) Welling, Jordan (Ashley) St. John, Ryan (Emily) Zunk, Ashlee (Ryan) Rossi, Scerina St. John, Emily Ackerman, Angeleena St. John, and Lindsay Ackerman; great-grandchildren, Kendall St. John, Eli Welling, Sadie St. John, Evy Welling, Harper St. John, Jack St. John, Finn St. John, Ava St. John, and Mary Clare Zunk. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon St. John; and a great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Private interment: Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
