Mario Rossi, 96, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away December 25, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Castro dei Volsci, Italy in 1927 to Sante and Giacinta (Perfili) Rossi. Mario proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Shortly after he would marry the love of his life, Charlotte (Bridge) on May 8, 1948. Mario had many passions in life, from working on antique cars, clocks and watches. He was also a very talented artist, some may even say a Renaissance Man. Mario was an accomplished golfer, enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling with a few 300 games. He worked as a welder but was a man that could do anything. What Mario cherished most was his loving family who will miss him dearly.

Mario is survived by his wife of 75 years; children, Patricia (Tom) Urbanski, Constance (Mike) Campbell, Charlotte (Joe) Osterman, Sandra (John) Zenk, Mario (Kelly) Rossi; grandchildren, Aaron, Damon, Dana, Mark, Adam, Ryan, Michael, Andrew, Derek, Nicholas, Christopher, Alexander and their spouses; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Anna Ross, Nancy Leisenheimer; great-granddaughter, Clara Zenk and son-in-law, Vince Smothers.

The family will receive friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Friday, December 29, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive friends at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Mario's name may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or charity of donor's choice.
