Our Sweet & Sincere Marion Majewski, 90, of Genoa, Ohio, went to be home with the Lord Friday, January 20, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Marion was born in Findlay, Ohio on August 3, 1926 to Lester and Adell (Rand) Holmes. On July 2, 1966, she married the love of her life Richard Majewski. Marion's true love was cooking for her family and friends. She was known for her pigs in the blanket, chicken paprikash, meatloaf, and Hungarian pastries. Marion was an active member of St. Johns United Church of Christ and the Ladies Auxiliary of Cooley Canal Yacht Club. Her hobbies included: fishing, boating, and playing cards with family and friends.
Marion is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; children, Barbara (Bill) Mitchell, Alan (Jan) Caswell, Darla (Humphreys) Taylor, and Tara (Tim) Taylor; grandchildren, Michelle (Al) Tewell, Jesse (Sara) Webber, Carey Humphreys, Amanda Taylor, Benjamin Mitchell, and Matthew Mitchell; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Thomas; along with many loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Hilda Lehman, Leon Holmes, Orville Holmes, Donna Wright, and Maynard Holmes.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Johns United Church of Christ or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
