Marjorie L. McLaughlin, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family on March 20, 2015 at Glendale Assisted Living. She was born in Greeneville, Tennessee on April 22, 1926 to Cecil and Carma (Cox) Dobson. Marjorie married Karl McLaughlin on March 18, 1945. She was a member of Heatherdowns Church of the Brethren. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, sewing, and interior decorating. Most importantly she loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was an amazing woman with a big heart and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Marjorie is survived by her children, Ruth Ann McLaughlin, Christine (William) Byrnes, Rachel (Daniel) Kopka, Jean (Stephen) Thomas; grandchildren, Matthew Ciecka, Emily (Kevin) Wilcheck, Alison (David) Payne, Vanessa and Wyatt Kopka, Sarah and Erin Thomas; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Brendan Wilcheck, Jacob Ciecka; sister, Joyce Freeman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl McLaughlin; son, Ward McLaughlin; and sister, Barbara Dobson. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 2-8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
