Marjorie I. (Peg) Soncrant 89, of Sylvania, Ohio and formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 17, 2013 at Sunset Village with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Marjorie was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 10, 1923 to William and Grace (Carter) Sass. She was a secretary for the City of Oregon prior to her retirement. Marjorie was a 50 year member of the OES Lotus Chapter; a life member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Dendarah Court #10; and a life member of the Oregon Fireman'™s Auxiliary Flamettes. Marjorie was a charter member of the Cooley Canal Yacht Club and a member of the Orphan Annies. Surviving are her children, Dyane (Kenneth) Mikolas, Daniel (Cheryle) Soncrant; grandchildren, Joe & Dan Soncrant; great grandchildren, Jade, Christopher, Brandy, Amber, and Daniel; great great grandchildren, Addison, Makayleigh, and Kaiden. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; and brother, Thomas T. Sass. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. where OES Lotus Chapter services will be held at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Ladies Oriental Shrine service. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, March 22, 2013 beginning at 11:00 a.m. where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Private interment will follow in Willow Cemetery.
