Mark Alan Miller, 78, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 with his loving family by his side. Mark was born in Oregon, Ohio to Herman and Eleanor (Gladieux) Miller in 1947. He graduated in 1965 from the first graduating class of Cardinal Strtich High School, where he met the love of his life, Alice (Momenee). They married on September 17, 1966 and shared so many priceless memories in those 60 years. He was a member of St. Ignatius Church. Mark worked as a millwright for Johns Manville for 41 years before retiring in 2010. He had many passions in life, from fishing, camping at Eagle Lake, to woodworking. Mark was a selfless man, always doing anything to provide for his family. He never missed an event that his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren had over the years, even if it meant staying up after a 12-hour shift. His family remembers Mark as the peacemaker, always staying calm and turning to the Lord in difficult situations. He was able to fix anything, sometimes even helping his brother at his car repair shop, Miller Brothers. Mark was an extremely hard worker, but what was most important to him was his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice; children, Anita (Kent) Wolf, Mark (Jo Anne) Miller Jr., Arlene (Michael) Hasenfratz, Angela (Robert) Gearhart; grandchildren, Allison (Kyle), John, Jesse, Zachary (Megan), Brandon (Abigail), Matthew (April), Elizabeth (Josh), Luke, Logan, Mason; great-grandchildren, Mason, Hayden, Carter, Noa, Grayson, Gabriel; siblings, Merle (Ruth) Miller and Wayne (Susan) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lois (Hugh) Hirzel.

The family will greet friends at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville, Rd., Millbury, Ohio, 43447 on Sunday, September 27, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 7:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 28, from 9:15 until the time of prayers at 10:15 and then process to St. Ignatius Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
