Obituary

Mary Madeline Bonnell, 64, of Oregon, Ohio, passed on to the Lord Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Hospice of NWO Perrysburg, with her loving family at her side. Mary was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 15, 1950 to Ross and Mary (LaRocco) LiPera. Mary was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she met and married the love of her life, Gregory Bonnell, on July 15, 1972. Mary loved the Lord and knew Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She attended Heritage Christian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren, where she never hesitated to display her enthusiastic, fun-loving, sweet spirit. Many friends (and complete strangers) were drawn to her warmhearted, compassionate, always accepting, Christian nature. She was an industrious and dedicated worker, well liked and appreciated at nearly a dozen different positions. Mary had an independent, ingenious, and creative spirit that fueled her passion for life. Her resilient attitude carried her through whatever life sent her way - like 30 kidney stones! Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Greg; sons, Robert, Michael, Adam (Kari), and Brian; grandchildren, Kleiston and Maria; brother, Lucian (Sylvia) LiPera of N. Royalton, Ohio; sister-in-law Bev (Kevin) Sawyer; special "Siamese Cousin" Terrie Solomon of Hudson, Ohio. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Jeanne; father and mother in-law, Robert and JoAnne Bonnell. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 2-8 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in Heritage Christian Church, 1640 S. Coy Rd, Oregon, Ohio and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Gideons International, for the mission of distributing free Bibles throughout the world, Toledo East Camp P.O. Box 167113 Oregon, Ohio 43616.
