Mary E. Clayton-Ratz, 84, of Genoa, OH, passed away December 8, 2004, in the Genoa Care Center. She was born in Lawrence County, TN on April 13, 1920, to Ed Lee and Hulda (Winters) Johnson. Mary had been employed by the Lanes Drug Store as a sales clerk. She was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ and the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are her daughter, Myrna (Chet) Lewandowski; son, Winston (Charlene) Clayton Jr.; sisters, Bonita Holt and Coralee (Marion) Vaughn; brother, Howard Johnson; 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her first husband, Winston (Ikey) Clayton Sr. and second husband, Theodore Ratz, preceded Mary in death.
Friends and family may visit on Sunday, December 12, 2004, from 2-9 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Echo Meadows Church of Christ, 2905 Starr Ave., Oregon, OH. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in honor of Mary may be sent to Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
