Mary M. Crispen, 78, of Northwood, Ohio passed away Monday, March 9, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She was born in Cygnet, Ohio on September 6, 1936 to Merle and Goldie (Brown) Sterling. She married the love of her life, Richard Crispen in 1953. Mary was a lifetime member of the Northwood VFW #2984. She enjoyed camping, cooking, bowling and crocheting. Mary is survived by her children, Gregory (Shelly) Crispen, Trudi (Scott) Posey and Danny (Valerie) Crispen; brother, Merle Sterling; sister, Florence (Jim) Wittenmeyer; grandchildren, Erik, Erica, Matthew, Ricky, Scotty, Morgan, Megan, Brianna and Mariah; 3 great-grandchildren, with 1 on the way; and her dog, Jackie. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Eddy; daughter, Sally; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Wednesday, March 11 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Thursday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
