Mary "Mariska" H. Danisovszky, 94, of Oregon passed away Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born December 18, 1928 to parents Joseph and Mary Tavcar in Toledo, Ohio.

She was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Parish and the Women's Auxiliary.

She and her sister Joanne owned and operated the National Bakery in East Toledo,

Taking over the business they worked since childhood, after the passing of their parents. The bakery became a local landmark. Pioneers of Women in Business – they were often recognized by local and across the country reporting for their products and old-world baking.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew Danisovszky; sister, Joanne Vining; loving children, sons, Louis (Patricia) Torda, Arthur (Cindy) Torda, daughter, Lisa (David) Thomas; grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Gamby, Louis Torda, Melinda (Jimmy) Tucker, Andrew (Cassidy) Thomas; and great-granddaughter, Kenzie Tucker. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Andy Danisovszky; late husband, Louis Torda; brother-in-law, James Vining; and sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (John) Lonta and Lajos (Mary) Danisovszky

Guests will be received for a brief visitation at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, on Monday March 13, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of scripture services at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Stephens Catholic Church, 1880 Genesee St., Toledo, Ohio, 43605 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. Stephens Catholic Church or Promedica Hospice.
