Mary E. Toth, 84, formerly of Oregon, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Ridgwood Manor Care. Mary was born in Toledo on April 5, 1920, to John and Helen Olah. She was the widow of Lawrence Toth. Mary Toth was employed for many years at the Champion Spark Plug Company before her retirement in 1979. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and The Hungarian Club. Mary enjoyed traveling back to Hungary to visit with her relatives .
Surviving are her daughter, Mary Kay (Pete) Wernert of Toledo, OH; sons, Larry (Shari) of Louisville, KY, and Robert (Ann) Toth of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Sam, Christy, R.J., Andrew, Chris, and Brian; niece, Pat (Steve) Markos, and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Sopko, Katherne Downing and Gizella Toth.
Visitation will be at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday and proceed to St. Stephen Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. The Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Contributions in Mary's memory can be either St. Stephen's Church or the Hungarian Club.
