Mary Ellen (Lutz) Hieber '" Bodette passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Oregon, Ohio, where she was blessed to have spent the past seven years of her life. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 17, 1921 to Thomas and Florence (Lux) Lutz. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her spouse John W. Hieber, whom she married in 1945, her second husband, Edward Bodette, her parents, and her sister, Ruth Reihing. She is survived by her four children from her first marriage: Tom (Sue) Hieber of Ball Ground, GA, Joanie (Jim) Graver of Toledo, OH, Richard (Beth) Hieber of Orange Park, FL, and Donna (Scott) Holcomb of Oregon, OH; by one daughter from her second marriage: Julie Bodette '" Jalovec; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joanne (George) Shanks. Family and friends may visit at the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Home at 930 S. Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio on Sunday, July 29th between 3 and 6 pm, with rosary at 4:30 pm, or between 7 and 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 11 am on Monday, July 30th at the Little Sisters of the Poor Sacred Heart Home. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy in Mary Ellen'™s memory be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor.
